Goldsboro – Melvin Rudolph Bass, age 70, died Friday, January 20, 2017 at his home. Born October 22, 1946 in Johnston County he was a son of the late Herbert Lee Bass and Eunice Medlin Bass Edwards. Rudolph was preceded in death by his brothers, Felton Lee Bass, Eugene Elwood Bass, and Bobby Harold Bass.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Billie Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening just prior to the service.
Surviving are his sons, Christopher Lee Bass and wife Maricarmen Perry Bass of Greenville, and Michael Wayne Bass of Garner; granddaughter, Alexandria Maria Bass of Greenville; sister, Jeannette Bass Creech of Clayton; brother, Robert Douglas Bass of Goldsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
