Smithfield – Michael Aubrey Eugene Fussell, age 57, passed away Thursday July 16, 2020 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield, NC. He was born on a naval base in San Juan, Puerto Rico on October 29, 1962 to Aubrey Eugene “Butch” and Mildred Henry Fussell. He is preceded in death by brother, Eric Fussell. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. He is survived by his father, “Butch” Fussell and wife Barbara of Raleigh; Mother, Mildred Henry Palmer of Tucson, AZ; Wife, Donna Chamberlain Fussell of the home; Son, Mike Fussell of San Luis Obispo, CA; Daughter, Jackie Fussell of Raleigh; Brother, Bill Fussell of Tucson, AZ; Sister, Michelle Palmer of Lytle Creek, CA; Mother-in-law Nancy Bullen of West Covina, CA; Father-in-law, George Chamberlain of Victorville, CA. Mr. Fussell was a hardworking man and was dedicated to taking care of his family. He is also a United States Navy Veteran and served as a “SeaBee”.
