Benson, NC: Mrs. Mildred Lee Wood, age 92, of Benson died Thursday at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Paul Burgess. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Wood was born August 4, 1924 in Johnston County to the late Paul P. and Annie Belle Adams Lee. She was also preceded in death by her husband, P. B. Wood, Jr. Mrs. Wood retired after 43 years as a secretary for Raleigh Bonded Warehouse, Inc. and was also a member of Benson Baptist Church.
Survivors include niece, Ava Tipton of Fuquay Varina; step-daughters and spouses, Bette Ann and Tommy Stephenson, Susan Royster and Debbie Kennedy, all of Cary; and several great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home from 10:00AM to 10:45AM Monday prior to the service.
