Oscar Nevell Maidon, age 92, of Selma passed away on December 8, 2018. Born in Johnston County on December 1, 1926, he was the son of the late Oscar and Eula Hocutt Maidon. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter. Mr. Maidon was a US Army veteran of World War II and was a member of Divine Crossings Baptist Church. He owned and operated B & M Repairs for many years.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with burial with military honors in Selma Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10-11 am, just prior to the service.
Surviving are his wife, Rudine Starling Maidon; son Dennis Maidon and wife Brenda of Clayton; daughters Sandra Barnes and husband Charlie of Clayton, Beverly Jones and husband Garry of Smithfield, Judy Brown and husband Donald of Selma; sister Delma Maidon Thomas of Burlington; seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
