Paul Hamilton Stanfield, age 55, of Smithfield passed away at his home on February 19, 2018. Born in Johnston County on March 1, 1962, he was the son of Sue Hamilton Stanfield of Smithfield and the late Walter Landis Stanfield, Jr. Paul attended Smithfield-Selma Senior High School and operated Stanfield’s Lawn Care in Smithfield for many years.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 22, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with Rev. Lee Colbert and Rev. Gary Killebrew officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1 – 2 PM.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are: Kim Clapp Stanfield; son, Kody Stanfield of Smithfield; daughter, Kortland Thornton and husband Matt of Keener; brothers, Landis Stanfield of Florida and David Stanfield of Four Oaks; and sister, Laura Grantham of Smithfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
