Peggy Gordon Bell

    Peggy Gordon Bell, age 84, of Smithfield, passed away on March 26 at the SECU Hospice House.  Born in Johnston County on September 24, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Solomon and Alice Johnson Gordon and was preceded in death by a brother, James Soloman Gordon.  Ms. Bell was a retired Supervisor with Carolina Telephone.  She attended Asbury United Methodist Church in Smithfield and was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter in Hubert, NC.  She was a loving Mother and a caregiver to many.

    Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with burial following in Selma Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1-2 PM, just prior to the service.
    Surviving are her daughters, Beverly Allen Sutton and Charles of Smithfield, Beverly Creech Hall and Steve of Clayton; son Bruce Creech of Florida; grandchildren, Shannon Harty, Leigh Frielich and Tim, Chris Sutton and Christy, Andrew Hall and Shauna, and Michael Hall and Melanie; great grandchildren, Jack Allen, Wyatt Wade, and Clayton Harrison Harty, Alice Ruth and Amelia Erin Frielich, Carsey, Cayli, Caris, and Cayden Sutton, Sloane and Arie Hall.
