Selma – Peggy Irene Jones Holland, age 75, passed away February 12, 2018 at her home. Born September 8, 1942 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late Lester Odell and Olive Irene Shallington Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Thel Holland; sisters, Nettie Mae Allen and Lessie Marie Johnson; and brother, David Earl Jones.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Sherman Connelly officiating. Burial will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home just prior to the service.
Surviving are her daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Sayers and husband Michael of Clayton; brother, Franklin “Buck” Jones and wife Edna of Pine Level; sisters, Joyce Jones and Mary “Tiny” Jaqueth, both of Selma; sister-in-law, Rosa Lee Corbett; granddaughters, Kiairah Smith and Samantha Barbour and husband Rodney; four nieces; three nephews; and granddog, Max.
