Smithfield—Phyllis Shannon Reliford, 51, died at her home on Sunday, December 5, 2021. Born in Johnston County on April 1, 1970, she was the daughter of Richard L. Reliford and the late Phyllis Ann Capps Reliford.
Shannon was a radiologist by profession. She was an avid dog lover and she treated her dogs like her children.
Surviving are her father Richard L. Reliford of Galax, Virginia, and her brother Richard “Richie” Reliford, Jr. and wife Tonya and their children Alexis, Ethan, and Hunter of Princeton, NC.
