Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Reba Overby Garner, age 82 of 3395 NC 96 South died Friday at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Donnie Massey. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
Mrs. Garner was born on October 12, 1934 in Johnston County to the late Nedham Ashley and India Mae Nowell Overby. She was preceded in death by sons, Ricky Norris, Sr., and Stephen Norris; sister, Wilma O. Norris, and brothers, James Rotha “Bo” Overby, and Ray Overby. Mrs. Garner retired from Fieldcrest in Smithfield and is a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are husband of 51 years, Bobby Garner of Four Oaks; grandchildren and spouses, Felicia Dominguez and husband, Brandon of Four Oaks; Beverly Dawson and husband, Steven of Lucama; Ricky Norris, Jr. of Four Oaks, Christopher Bottoms of Four Oaks, Jessica Bottoms of Four Oaks; great-grandchildren, Emily Dominguez, Lillian Dominguez, Graelyn Dawson, Alison Bottoms, Saniya Harris; sister, Hilda Smith of Four Oaks; daughters-in-laws, Barbara Norris of Four Oaks, Kathy Norris of Lucama; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM Monday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks and other times at the home.
