Benson, NC: Mrs. Rebecca McLamb Gray, age 70, of 310 West Main Street died Saturday at her residence. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Benson United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Al Hocutt.
Mrs. Gray was born July 6, 1947 in Johnston County to the late Ernest Franklin and Annera Stewart McLamb. She was a retired teacher and dental assistant and was a member of the Benson United Methodist Church.
Survivors include husband, David W. Gray of Benson; daughters, Leah Pierce Arendt and husband, Jamie of Coats, Jennifer Pierce Jordan and husband, Andy of Raleigh; step-children, Daniel Gray of Raleigh, Leslie Gray of Leeds, MA; eight grandchildren, Brandon Godwin and wife, Alex, Bailey Jordan, Braiden Arendt, Drew Jordan, Max Jordan, Miles Jordan, Otto Gray, Cash Gray; sister, Ernestine M. Gooch and husband, Joe of Benson, brothers, Terry F. McLamb of Dunn, Tony S. McLamb and wife, Martha of Benson; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the church fellowship hall.
