    Four Oaks, NC: Rev. Derry Elbert Allen, age 67, of Elevation Road passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC surrounded by his loving family. Graveside Services will be 2:00PM Tuesday, January 5, 2020 at Barbour’s Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Della Grace Hargis.

    Rev. Allen was born on July 20, 1953 in Johnston County to the late Clarence and Lessie B. Stanley Allen. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Judy Keene and Janice Brame. Rev. Allen was a retired building inspector, a minister with the Advent Christian Church Denomination, and was a member of the Four Oaks Advent Christian Church. He preached at Mule City Cowboy Church, Barbour’s Chapel Advent Christian Church and Fayetteville Advent Christian Church. He was also a retired fireman with the Four Oaks Fire Department.

    Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Ann R. Allen; children, Crystal A. Johnson and husband, Michael of Four Oaks, Anthony Allen and wife, Ellen of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Ashton June “A.J.” Allen, Anna Frances Johnson, Thomas Exum “T.J.” Johnson, Willow Elizabeth Allen; sisters and brothers, Hilda Allen and husband, Larry of Four Oaks, Gloria Baker and husband, Sam of Four Oaks, Junior Allen of Four Oaks; brothers-in-law, Rev. Billy Keene of Four Oaks, Wallace Brame of Raleigh; several nieces and nephews.

    Rev. Allen will be available for viewing, and you may sign the register book on Monday, January 4, 2021 from 9:00AM-5:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC. The family will not be present during this time.

    Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Four Oaks Advent Christian Church, P.O. Box 598, Four Oaks, NC 27524; Barbour’s Chapel Advent Christian Church, P.O. Box 357, Four Oaks, NC 27524 and Fayetteville Advent Christian Church 1301 Pamalee Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28303.
