Willow Spring, NC: Mr. Richard A. Monday, age 51, of White Memorial Church Road died Monday, February 22, 2021, at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Memorial Services will be 3:00PM Saturday, February 27, 2021, at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Pastor John Jernigan will officiate.
Mr. Monday was born July 8, 1969 in Levi County, Florida to the late William Ralph and Catherine Elaine Meeks Monday. He was a heavy equipment operator for the North Carolina Department of Transportation for 13 years. Mr. Monday was a three-time champion at the NC DOT Rodeo.
Survivors are wife of 15 years, Deborah Ann Monday; children, Julie Rodriguez and husband, Luis of Angier, Bradley Parrish of Willow Spring, Rebecca Vestal and husband, Matheau of Bunn, Caroline Monday of Banner Elk, Cole Monday of Banner Elk; grandchildren, Angel Rodriguez, Hailey Rodriguez, Shelby Bell, Piper Creech, Zoey Vestal; brothers, Sammy Myers and wife, Starr of Wilson, Jamie Monday of Bunn; several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends following the memorial service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.
In lieu of flowers; memorials may be made to SPCA of Raleigh 200 Petfinder Lane Raleigh, NC 27603.
