Kenly – Ricky Lynn Johnson, age 66, passed away Friday afternoon in WakeMed Hospital of Raleigh. Born May 17, 1955 in Wilson County, he was a son of the late Ernest Junior and Virgia Lou Creech Johnson.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Mae Dunning Johnson; son, Jonathan Johnson, his wife Heather and their daughter Zoe all of Kenly; daughter, Amber Johnson Paquette, her husband Garrett and their son, Caleb all of Selma and sister, Pat Johnson Evans of Kenly.
Ricky loved serving his community and helping others. He was dedicated to the Lord and teaching others about his Lord was his passion and joy. He dearly loved his family and his grandchildren were his heartbeat. He and Mary Mae are members of Torah Fellowship.
There will be a private graveside service at the Moore’s Chapel Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dwight Dunning officiating.
