Robert “Bob” Edward Cabe, 81, of Middlesex, North Carolina, passed away on February 4, 2018. Bob was born in Brevard, NC on December 28, 1936. He graduated from Brevard High School and continued on to receive a degree in Business Administration from Berea College. Bob worked as a salesman and retired from Day Corporation. He enjoyed refereeing high school football, gardening, reading, attending Whitley Methodist church, spending time with his friends and family. Affectionally known as “Daddy Bob”, and the infamous “Booger” by everyone.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents James and Nettie Cabe; and his brother, Jerry Cabe. He is survived by his brother Thomas Cabe & Wife Ann Dergara of Brevard, NC; sister-in-law Pooh Cabe of Brevard, NC, children Robert “Robb” Cabe II of Frankfort KY, Renee Cabe and husband Paul Ziolek of High Point, NC, Rodney Cabe and wife Rebecca Cabe of Pine Level, NC, Scott Cabe of Garner, NC; grandsons, James “Denny” Cabe, Christopher Cabe, Zachary Cabe; step grandchildren, Alex Green and wife Janie, Ashley Nordan and husband Ben, and many loving nieces, nephews, step-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Whitley United Methodist Church, 300 Wilson’s Mills Road, Smithfield, NC 27577, or Berea College, Berea College, CPO 2216, Berea, KY 40404. The family of Robert Cabe wishes to thank the Parrish Funeral Home for their assistance and support.
