Smithfield – Robert Lee Mooneyham, age 91, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021, in the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born on August 25, 1929, he was a son of the late Edwin and Carrie Mooneyham. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Stephan Mooneyham.
Robert was a member of First Baptist Church in Smithfield, the Lions Club as well as the American Legion.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, June 14, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the burial to follow in Knollwood Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years Mrs. Bobbie Mooneyham, son Lee Mooneyham (Carol) of Naugatuck, CT, step-son, Robert Killian, step-daughter, Glenda Dixon (Lee) of Morehead City, sister, Hilda Laughlin of Burlington, grandson, Ryan Mooneyham and great granddaughter, Alexia Mooneyham.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Smithfield Lions Club.
