Selma – Ronald Anthony Hammons, age 55, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on July 30, 1965, a son of the late Clowny and Dela Hammons in Chesterfield VA. He is preceded in death by his wife of eight years Marry Ann Hammons.
He was a member of Church Alive Ministries in Pikeville. He was the president of the men’s ministry, a member of the praise and worship team and many other church functions. He was a member of the Thanksgiving Volunteer Fire Department. He was a huge NC State fan and he loved football, Nascar and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, and Papa.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service starting at 2:00 p.m.
He is survived by his current wife of five years Mrs. Cathy Potts Massey Hammons, daugter, Jessica Downham (husband Joshua) of Zebulon, son, Adam Hammons of Selma, daughter, Catherine Windham (husband Brandon) of Pikeville, daughter, Victoria Howell (husband Brian) of Goldsboro, son, Benjamin Massey Jr. (significant other, Kristina Alvis) of Kenly, brothers, Clowny Hammons Jr. and Tim Hammons of Frankewing, TN, sisters, Sherry Hammons and Patsy Quinn of Martinsville, VA, mother-in-law, Norma Potts, sister-in-law, Sallie Potts, grandchildren, Conner, Damon, and Lydia Downham, Jayden, and Luke Windham, Landon and Annaleigh Howell.
