    Ronald “Ronnie” Coleman Mayo, 55, of Four Oaks, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. He was born in Johnston County on June 28, 1965 to the late Ronald Waylon (Tom) Mayo and Myrtle Gray Johnson Mayo.

    In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his brother, Waylon Mayo and sister, Judith Ann Mayo.

    Ronnie is survived by his loving companion of over 30 years, Brenda Pearce; step son, Joe Newsome; brothers, Wayne Parker of Pine Level, Frankie Mayo of Four Oaks, Dwight Mayo of Smithfield; sisters, Brenda Cobb of Smithfield, Rose Boswell of Kenly, Joy Weaver of Princeton; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

    Ronnie was the “Jack of all trades”. He had a heart of gold and saw the good in everything and everybody. While not on the road trucking, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He will surely be missed but precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
    The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on Friday, May 14, 2021 in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.

    A celebration of life will be held following the visitation at 6:00pm on Friday, May 14, 2021 in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations with Reverend Hal Trogden officiating. A committal service will be at the Price Family Cemetery in Selma on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10:00am.
