Smithfield, NC – Ronald Paul “Ron” Curylo, age 80, died Sunday evening at his home. Born February 15, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY to the late John Paul and Anna Bossick Curylo, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Curylo. Ron attended Moravian College on a football scholarship and transferred to Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY where he received a Fine Arts Degree. Following his college graduation he entered the US Army on September 20, 1961. He was a member of Elizabeth United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Elizabeth United Methodist Church on Cleveland Road in Smithfield. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Cochran Curylo; daughter, Shannon Marie Curylo and significant other, James Carter of Brooklyn, NY; sons, Christopher J. Curylo of Bordentown, NJ and Charles Cochran and wife, Lisa of Cary, NC; brother, Roger Curylo and wife Jill of Bellport, NY and four grandchildren, Asheton Curylo, Cian Curylo, Jayden Cochran and Sabrina Cochran.
