Smithfield, NC: Mrs. Sarah Catherine Bowen Dupree, age 76 died on Wedensday at Smithfield Manor Nursing and Rehab. Graveside Funeral Service will be 2:30 PM Saturday at Oakland Heights Cemetery in Smithfield. Rev. Berry Byrd will officiate.
Mrs. Dupree was born on December 11, 1940 in Johnston County to the late James Wilbert and Sarah Myrtle Adams Bowen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Dupree, a daughter, Sarah Elaine Woodall and sister, Sandra Sullivan. Mrs. Dupree was a retired seamstress and a homemaker.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Rebecca Norris of Coats and Jeff and Lisa Starling of Middlesex; grandchildren, Jerry Norris, Chandler Floyd, Crystal Floyd and Ollie Ray Starling; sisters, Jean Renfrow and Daisy Lee both of Kenly; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM Saturday prior to the graveside service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC.
