Smithfield- On July 14, Sarah W. Sellers peacefully entered God’s Kingdom. A longtime resident of Smithfield, she was a retired real estate broker with Jim White Realty. She was a faithful member of First Christian Church for 67 years and a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 60 years, serving in a variety of positions including Worthy Matron. She served her community in a variety of ways, including as a Meals on Wheels volunteer, SAM Food pantry volunteer, and as a member of the Smithfield Housing Authority for nine years. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Pete Sellers, as well as her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Carolina, 3398 Janiero Road, Arapahoe, NC 28510, or, the SAM Food Pantry, 140 East Market Street, Smithfield, NC 27577. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, July 18, 2018 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at First Christian Church, 1001 Crescent Drive, Smithfield. Funeral services are Thursday at 4:00 p.m., also at the church.
