Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Sharon Raynor Benson, age 68, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at UNC Johnston Health in Clayton. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held 4:00 PM, Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Oliver’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Four Oaks. Rev. David Brantley will officiate.
Mrs. Benson was born on June 26, 1952 in Johnston County to the late William Sherrill and Marion Norris Raynor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Benson and her brothers, Sherrill Wayne Raynor and Randy Lee Raynor. Mrs. Benson retired from South Bend Manufacturing and was a member of Oliver’s Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving include her sons, Lee Von Johnson and wife, Amy of Clayton and Sherrill Lynn Benson of Smithfield; grandchildren, Cannon Johnson and Gracelynd Johnson both of Clayton, and Khalynn Hollifield of Raleigh; brothers, William Christopher Raynor and wife, Vickie of Four Oaks, James Carroll Raynor and wife, Gail of Four Oaks, Roy Glenn Raynor of Benson; special nieces, Kyleigh Raynor and Ava Raynor; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:30PM-3:30PM, Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks.
In accordance with the current NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W’s: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
