Benson. NC: Mr. Shelton Milo Parrish, age 86 of 235 Grace Road, passed away Saturday at Harnett Woods Nursing and Rehab Center in Erwin. Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Wednesday at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. David Langley and Billy Nowell.
Mr. Parrish was born on December 16, 1930 in Johnston County to the late Thomas and Ava Johnson Parrish. He was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother. Mr. Parrish was a charter member of Elevation Fire Department. He was also a retired farmer and member of St. Mary’s Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving include his wife of 65 years, Shirley Langdon Parrish; children and spouses Sheila Parrish, David and Gina R. Parrish; Eddie and Jenny Parrish and Amy P. and David Barbour, III; brother, Paul Parrish of Erwin; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM-2:45 PM Wednesday prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
