Kenly – Shirley Anna Whitener Pollard, age 68, died Thursday, February 9, 2017 in Barbour Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Smithfield. Born April 26, 1948 in Rutherford County she was a daughter of the late Willie and Phoebe Dill Whitener. She was preceded in death by her great grandson, David Quinton Cannon.
Surviving are her husband of over 49 years, Benny Aaron Pollard of Kenly; sons, Benny Aaron Pollard, Jr. of Ardmore, OK and Joseph Matthew Pollard of Kenly; daughter, Holly P. Meggs and husband Chris of Elizabethtown; and four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of one’s choice.
