Selma – Shirley Glover Cockrell, age 81 passed away Tuesday October 1, 2019. Born in Johnston County September 18, 1938 to the late Wilson and Lillian Roberts Glover. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by husband, William Cockrell. Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home Friday October 4, 2019 at 10 AM with Rev. Jerry Andrews officiating. Burial will follow the service at Kenly Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Thursday October 3, 2019 at Parrish Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM. She is survived by daughters, Shirley Creech and husband Dennis of Selma, Pam Cockrell; Son, William Roger Cockrell of Washington; Sisters, Pauline Whitley of Selma, Elsie Briley of Dunn; Grandchildren, Jenifer Creech, Grace Lee, Campsie Maynor, Jessica Cockrell; Four great grandchildren. Mrs. Cockrell was a member of Kenly Church of God.
