Coats, NC: Mr. Stacey Franklin Johnson, Sr., age 76 of Johnson Road, passed away on Thursday morning September 17, 2020 at his residence. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held 3:00PM, Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Coats, NC. Rev. Randy Beasley will officiate.
Mr. Johnson was born on September 28, 1943, the youngest child of the late Jonah C. and Alice Thornton Johnson. He was preceded in death by seven sisters and one brother. He worked hard on the farm for many years until he became disabled.
Stacey is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Betty Tart Johnson; children, Stacey Johnson, Jr., and wife, Christie of Wilmington; Tommy Johnson and wife, Simone of Coats; Marsha Comeau and husband, John of Wake Forest; and Christopher Johnson and wife, Natasha of Coats; grandchildren, Preston, Tanner, Piper, Trevor, Sydney, Cody, Lily and Hannah; sister, Gayle Sorrell and husband, H.L. of Coats; many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Johnson will be available for viewing, and you will be able to sign the register book on Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 1:00PM-5:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats. The family will not be present during this time.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
