Thel Henderson Brady, age 87, of Selma passed away at his home on July 6, 2019. Born in Johnston County on March 15, 1932, he was the son of the late Henry and Viola Dixon Brady. His wife was the late Agnes Creech Brady. Mr. Brady served in the United States Navy for 24 years, retiring at the rank of Personnelman Chief Petty Officer. He served on five different ships during his career. He was a member of Creech’s Primitive Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma on Wednesday, July 10th, from 10-11 am followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Burial with military honors will be held in the cemetery at Creech’s Primitive Baptist Church immediately following the service.
Surviving are his children, E. Carson Price, Jr. and wife Gayle of Selma, Paula Price of Selma; brother Louis Brady of Hampstead, sister Virginia Creech of Selma; grandchildren Eric Price and wife Sara Beth, Michael Price and wife Sarah, Ashley Mayhew and husband Robert, and Lula Castillo Price; and 6 great grandchildren.
