Timothy Ernest Hippo, 61, received his heavenly promotion on November 2, 2017, while at the Kitty Askins Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
Tim was born in Blair County, Pennsylvania on March 18, 1956 to the late Ernest and Alberta Winter Hippo. He was an auditor with Alliance Inspection Management Service. Most important to Tim was family. Tim worked hard to provide for his family and to make sure they were taken care of. He was a very talented cook and enjoyed preparing great meals that could be shared with his family and friends. Tim also enjoyed a wide variety of music and didn’t mind getting out and dancing. If it was a nice summer day, you would find Tim out on his boat fishing while enjoying the ocean breeze and relaxing along Wrightsville Beach.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Kenly Funeral Service with the Rev. Nick Worrell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Tim is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Sherry White Hippo, daughter, Jessica Hippo Shook, husband Brian of Durham; stepdaughters, Stephanie Davis Grimes, husband Ashton of Selma and Jessica Davis Brooks, husband Zachary of Pikeville; stepson, Adam Davis, significant other Chesney Best of Pikeville; grandchildren, Gavin Shook, Tanner Shook, Cayden Grimes, and Hadleigh Brooks; brother, Billy Woomer, wife Carrie of Pennsylvania; and his special lap dog, Lena.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Hippo and a sister, Nancy Rider.
Though we will miss Tim dearly we know that this is not goodbye, until we meet again we will “See Ya, Skippy!”
