Coats, NC: Mr. Tommy Pope, age 84, of 510 Silas Moore Road died Sunday at his residence. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM Thursday at Erwin Chapel PFWB Church in Dunn. Officiating will be Rev. Danny Helms. Burial will follow in Erwin Chapel PFWB Church Cemetery, Dunn.
Mr. Pope was born February 7, 1934 in Harnett County to the late William M. and Fannie Roberts Pope. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Edward Pope, Mildred Wheeler, Willie Davis, Grace Stewart, Dot Ferrell, Becky Roberts, Thurlene Rondini and Jean Lamm. Mr. Pope was a retired farmer.
Surviving are wife of 34 years, Lida C. Pope of Coats; children and spouses, Randy and Bonnie Pope of Coats, Karen and Danny Ferguson of Coats, Shelia and John Aldridge of Islamorada, Florida; step-children, Brenda Lucas and Mark Johnson of Erwin, Terry and Louise Stone of Erwin, Sandy and Regina Stone of Dunn, Ricky and Jeanne Stone of New Hill, NC; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; thirteen step great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; brother, Bobby W. Pope of Coats; many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats Wednesday from 6:00PM – 8:00PM and other times at the home.
