Lillington, NC: Mr. Travis Henry Norris, age 86, of T.F.I.J. Lane, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Harnett Health in Lillington, NC. A Graveside Service will be held 11:00AM-Monday, November 30, 2020 at Pleasant Plains Community Church Cemetery outside Buies Creek. Please check with the funeral home to confirm arrangements due to the forecasted weather. Pastor Eddie White will officiate.
Mr. Norris was born on August 19, 1934 in Harnett County to the late Malcolm Henry and Cornnie Mae Upchurch Norris. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Ann Jackson and sisters, Lois Garner, Grace Watkins and Inez Stewart. Mr. Norris retired from the North Carolina Department of Corrections as a correctional officer with 30 years of service and was also a US Army Veteran.
Surviving include his brother, Fleming Norris of Coats and several loving nieces and nephews.
