Benson, NC: Mrs. Vertice Inez Webb Stancil, age 94, of Carolyn Drive died Monday, January 7, 2019 at Transitions Life Care in Raleigh. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 11, 2019 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Rev. Bob Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Benson.
Mrs. Stancil was born in Johnston County on December 2, 1924 to the late Oscar Buddy and Letha Mae McLamb Webb. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lee William Stancil; and sisters, Mertice, Alene and Ithel. She was a seamstress in the textiles industry and member of Smithfield Advent Christian Church.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Graham Lee and Betty and Terry Hobson; grandchildren, Karen Ryan, Chris Lee, Jonathan Hobson and Amy Brewer-Slish; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, 12:30 PM – 1:45PM prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Transitions Life Care, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
