Selma – Walter Rudolph Starling, Jr., age 78, died Thursday, May 23, 2019 at his home. Born March 13, 1941 in Johnston County he was a son of the late Walter Rudolph and Ruby Watson Starling. Mr. Starling proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Level.
Surviving are his wife, Nell Starling; sons, Walter Rudolph Starling, III and wife Patricia of Pine Level, and Michael Glen Starling and wife Shannon of Pennsylvania; brother, Don Starling; and grandchildren, Emily Starling, Walter R. “Chipper” Starling, IV, Madeline Starling, Sabrina Starling, Katy Starling, and Delaney Starling.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
