Selma – William Joseph Grice, Sr., age 79, passed away at his home in Selma on March 29, 2019. Born July 22, 1939 in Johnston County, he was a son of the late Leland Mack and Ruby Dozier Grice. A Memorial service will be conducted Wednesday April 3, 2019 at 6 PM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Reverend Jesse Pittman officiating. The family will receive visitors from 5 PM to 6 PM. Mr. Grice is survived by loving wife Deanna Grice of the home; Sons, William Joseph “Joey” Grice II of Selma, Travis Jay Grice and wife Casey of Nichols, SC; A brother, Leland Grice Jr. and wife Teresa of New Bern; Sisters, Carol Daniels of Selma, Sharron Hicks of Smithfield; Grandchildren, Leslie Sheaf and husband David of Charleston, SC, Bryan Grice if Longs, SC, Stephanie Grice of Loris, SC, William Matthew Grice of Selma, Hailey Housend of Nichols, SC, Abigail Rose Grice of Nichols, SC; Great granddaughter, Layla Rae Grice of Loris, SC; As well as numerous nieces and nephews, special friends, and extended family members. Mr. Grice enjoyed gardening, fishing, and RC airplanes. In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
