SMITHFIELD – Smithfield Police Officer Julie Carroll was recognized by Police Chief Pete Hedrick during the Jan. 23 meeting of the Smithfield Town Council.
Officer Carroll recently received her Intermediate Law Enforcement Certificate.
Carroll has served with the Town of Smithfield since December 2019. She is a native of Johnston County and graduated with honors from Smithfield Selma Senior High School. She received a degree in Criminology from North Carolina State University. Prior to joining the Smithfield Police Department, she served as a Probation/Parole Officer for six years.
