Johnston County Register of Deeds Office is pleased to announce the Reappointment of Registrar Craig Olive to serve on the North Carolina Board of Funeral Service. President Pro Tempore Senator Phil Berger made the re-appointment. The purpose of the North Carolina Board of Funeral Service is to safeguard the public health, safety, and welfare of North Carolina citizens by ensuring that those individuals and entities licensed for the practice of funeral services in this state are duly qualified.
“I consider it an honor to be reappointed to serve on the Board of Funeral Service. Across the state, Register of Deeds offices work closely with funeral homes to ensure death certificates are recorded promptly and properly. I look forward to continuing to assist the board of funeral service with automation advancements. During my term, we have made great strides in technology.
Mr. Olive states that his goal continues to be ensuring that rules and regulations are followed in the funeral industry and that North Carolinians are provided professionalism and excellent customer service during a most difficult time in their lives. Mr. Olive was first appointed in 2015 to a two year term and will continue to serve another two year appointment. “It is my privilege to serve the citizens of North Carolina and Johnston County on the North Carolina Board of Funeral Service.”
