  1. Well one problem is all the BS road construction on 70. It is a massive cluster. Add to that the countless number of people who have overpopulated the area and those who couldn’t drive a lawnmower much less a dump truck and this is what happens!! The state and county could have prevented all of this, but then their pockets wouldn’t’ve gotten fatter.

  2. I hate dump trucks. They think they own the road and wow do they speed. I also in the past had my new on its first ride car windshield broken by a dump truck speeding by and rocks coming off the trucks. I feel bad for the man that was killed and pray for him and his family. This is sad and the police need to do more about all these dump trucks.

    • Steve I appreciate you because I’m the daughter of Ronald Nelson. I’m heartbroken that my dad is gone and I’m even more heart broken that the man who hit my dad didn’t even go over to help him when he was on the ground hurt. Pray that my family finds justice in all of this

    • Thank you your prayers. My Name is Melissa and Ronald Nelson was my father. He was going to Raleigh to pick up plants and never came home because a dump truck driver did not pay attention and hit my father’s van. He was ejected from the window and suffered extensive internal damage to his body. I was told the man that hit him didn’t even go to the van or my dad lying on the ground. He just stayed by his truck. I thank God for the 2 women that stopped and helped my dad. If it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t have even known he was in accident.
