MIDDLESEX – A Sunday afternoon motor vehicle accident at a northeastern Johnston County intersection injured the passenger in a Ram pickup when the truck collided with a large flatbed work trailer being towed by a Ford pickup.
The 3:20pm accident occurred at the intersection of NC Highway 231 and Buck Road/NC Highway 222 West.
The female passenger was pinned in the Ram truck before being extricated by firefighters. She was rushed to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The Corinth Holders Fire Department, Johnston County EMS, and State Highway Patrol responded.
