FOUR OAKS – A passenger in a car stopped by a Johnston County deputy ended up in jail.
Around 1:00pm Tuesday, August 27, the officer stopped a car on US 301 South near Thunder Road.
During a search of the car, authorities said suspected methamphetamine was located in the purse of a passenger, identified as Rhonda Gayle Strickland, 46, of Clinton, NC.
Strickland was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of a controlled substance in jail, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was held under a $27,500 bond.
