The NC Highway Patrol is investigating a head on collision Thursday morning outside of Clayton.
The accident was reported at 7:51am at the intersection of Covered Bridge Road and Pritchard Road.
According to Trooper J.D. Perdue, a Chevrolet pickup was traveling on Covered Bridge Road and attempted to make a left turn onto Pritchard Road but pulled into the path of an oncoming Chevrolet truck. Both vehicles collided head on in the intersection.
One person was transported to Johnston Medical Center in Clayton for minor injuries. Another person sustained minor injuries but declined medical transport.
The accident still remains under investigation.
The Archer Lodge Fire Department and Johnston County EMS responded to the scene.
