A Johnston County bank was robbed Friday morning. It happened just before 11:00 at the Heritage Bank at 109 South Peedin Avenue in Downtown Pine Level.
The suspect entered the bank and demanded money. No weapon was displayed.
The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Authorities have not said if he may have had a getaway vehicle parked nearby.
The robber was described as a black male, 6 foot tall, wearing a red bandana. He was also carrying a black bag.
We’re told there were two bank employees inside at the time. There were no customers inside the bank. No injuries were reported.
Pine Level Police and the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office responded and are investigating the hold up.
The same bank branch was robbed on March 21, 2012 however the suspect did not get any money.
