Exterior renovations feature updates to façade and lighting
Major exterior renovations are underway at Pine Needle Square in Smithfield. Adventure Development, LLC said the renovations are anticipated to be completed by the spring of 2021.
Improvements to the 110,000 square-foot center include a new exterior façade, enhanced canopy lighting, and additional stone and refurbished brick work. In 2019, a major investment was made to improve parking lot lighting.
Located on N. Brightleaf Blvd. (Highway 301) and adjacent to UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield, shopping center tenants currently include Pizza Hut, Carlie C’s IGA, AutoZone, Citi Trends, H&R Block, Quick Print Solutions, Hollywood Nails Spa, Beauty World, and Alexa Beauty Salon.
Several spaces, including retail and restaurant spaces, are available for lease, according to Adventure Development President Kevin Dougherty. “We’re seeking prospective tenants who complement existing businesses and serve local customers. Tenants, and their customers, will benefit from these improvements made along a major travel corridor in Smithfield,” adds Dougherty.
Tony Johnson of Clayton is the architect and Stephenson General Contractors of Smithfield is the general contractor for this project.
