Police: Drugs Found After Arrest On Outstanding Warrant

KENLY, N.C. – Kenly police officers conducting a routine patrol on April 14 arrested a Kenly man on an outstanding warrant and later charged him with a felony drug offense.

According to Police Chief James Ayers, Detective Taylor and Officer Reed encountered Shakam Daquarius Sills, 32, who was known to have an active warrant for disorderly conduct and damage to property.

Officers made contact with Sills and took him into custody without incident. During a search following his arrest, authorities said they found a quantity of suspected cocaine on his person.

Sills was served with the outstanding warrant and also charged with felony possession of cocaine.
