Police in Garner are investigating a threat against law enforcement officers. Specific details have not been released, however around 8:15am today (Thursday), the Raleigh Wake Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call that contained a specific threat against law enforcement working in the White Oak/US 70 area in Garner.
Because this threat was directed specifically at law enforcement, the Garner Police Department has taken specific steps to ensure the safety of law enforcement and is actively investigating the incident. At this point, there has been no threat directed at or toward the public, only the law enforcement community.
