Pollard Commits To UNLV

Local West Johnston and CASL stand-out Robin Pollard has officially submitted her Nation Letter of Intent to 2016 Mountain West Conference Champion the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Robin Pollard is a local soccer talent having developed since first-grade through the Johnston County / Raleigh-area club soccer scene. First with local organization GCAA, then later JUSA, then CASL.  Her past Club Coaches include Corey Combs, Greg Chase, Chris Shaw, Steve Castro and Sean Nahas. Her high school coaches at WJHS are Luke Waddell and Reid Byrd.

Robin, 17, is a prolific left-footed forward having scored over (140) goals at the 4A prep-level and (17) at the nationally competitive CASL ECNL club-level.  She was awarded JUSA Ms. Soccer in June 2016. Other past awards include Wildcat Team MVP, Greater Neuse River Conference Offensive Player of the Year (2015 and 2016) and MaxPreps National Player of the Week (x2).

Robin intends to study Nursing. Her parents are Ed and Kim Pollard of Garner. She has three sisters: Lauren, Emma and Kate.
