Princeton Eagle Scout Reese Brown Recognized

On March 10th an Eagle Scout Ceremony was held at Pinkney Missionary Baptist Church in Fremont for Eagle Scout Reese Daughtry Brown from Boy Scout Troop 23 of Princeton.

Reese recently held the position of Senior Patrol Leader in his Troop. During his trail to Eagle, he has earned the Paul Bunyan Award (The Paul Bunyan Woodsman Award encourages Boy Scouts in the proper use of woods tools and creating an outdoor project using acquired woods tools skills). He has also earned the Bronze and Gold Eagle Palms, as well as the Scouts Nova Shoot! Award (The BSA’s STEM Nova Awards program is designed to introduce and encourage further study of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) by Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venturers, and Sea Scouts).

During his Eagle Scout Court of Honor, Reese was presented with the Eagle Scout Good Citizenship Award from Eagle Scout Coordinator Lewis W. Rice III from the Johnston County Marine Corps League Carry-On Detachment 1236. Congratulations Eagle Scout Reese Daughtry Brown.

For his Eagle Scout project, he built a prayer garden at his church.

Reese is the son of Anthony and Ann Brown of Princeton. He is currently a sophomore at Princeton High School. After graduation, Reese plans to become a musician.
