A Princeton High student athlete was this week’s winner of WRAL’s Extra Effort Award.
Austin Sullivan is a senior with a 4.5 GPA. He is also student council president, a Morehead nominee and a student ambassador for the school and county.
Not to mention he is on the schools Cross Country team, Indoor Track Team, Spring Track, and Basketball team
Austin is a triple conference champion in indoor track in the 1000, 1600 and 3200 meters. He is also one of the leading scorers on the Bulldogs basketball team.
He currently holds numerous school and Carolina Conference records in distance running in Cross Country, indoor track and spring track.
This year, he is the Cross Country champion for the second year in a row and triple champion in indoor track.
He has several college offers. He hopes to pursue a law degree at UNC Chapel Hill.
Austin, 18, is the son of Chris and Elizabeth Sullivan of Princeton. He has a young brother, Colby, who also attends Princeton School.
