A Princeton man found injured behind a home in Smithfield Monday afternoon died Tuesday while in the hospital.
Adolphus Ramon Bryant, 45, was found at the rear of a home at 810 Second Avenue around 2:15pm Monday. Police Captain R.K. Powell said officers had responded to the area following a report of multiple shots being fired. That’s when they discovered Bryant and called for EMS.
Police said Bryant succumbed to his injuries. Investigators think Bryant may have been stabbed, not shot.
Investigators conducted a search warrant on a vehicle on Tuesday as part of their investigation. Bryant’s death marks the first homicide in Smithfield in 2015.
