The new Athletic Director at Princeton Middle-High is a familiar face around the school campus.
Bruce Proctor is the school’s new Athletic Director. He has been a teacher and a coach for 27 years, 22 of those years at Princeton.
He will step down as Head Coach for the school’s baseball team to focus on his new role as athletic director.
“I love the Princeton school and community, and I look forward to working with the coaches, athletes, and Princeton supporters to provide an outstanding athletic program,” said Proctor.
Principal Jarvis Ellis is excited about Proctor becoming the new AD. “Bruce has shown dedication and commitment to the Princeton school and community. I am looking forward to seeing Princeton’s athletic program grow and our student athletes excel with Bruce as Athletic Director.”
Proctor has some big shoes to fill. He is replacing Marty Gurganus who retired in June. Coach Gurganus was well respected for his hard work and dedication to the Princeton Athletic Program and to the student athletes. Gurganus had been the athletic director for 5 years before announcing his retirement last month.
