Princeton Receives $500,000 Grant For Park Project

PRINCETON, N.C. — The Town of Princeton has been awarded a $500,000 state grant to help fund capital improvements for a new community park.

Town officials announced the grant, calling it a significant investment in the community’s future.

Mayor Stacy Johnson credited Town Administrator Michael King and State Rep. Larry Strickland for their efforts in securing the funding.

“I would like to personally thank Town Administrator Michael King for his dedicated hard work on this grant and continued partnership with Representative Larry Strickland in securing these funds,” Johnson said.

“I also extend my sincere gratitude to Representative Strickland for his unwavering support of the Town of Princeton.”

Mayor Johnson said the town is looking forward to the continued growth of the community.

“We are energized by the positive momentum and ongoing development within our community,” he said.

The Princeton Board of Commissioners also recognized King and Strickland for their collaboration and commitment to the town.

In a statement, the board thanked both men for their continued efforts to support Princeton’s growth and prosperity.

Town officials have not yet released specific details about the timeline for construction but encouraged residents to stay tuned for future announcements. “Exciting things are on the way,” the mayor said.
