The Professional Development Grant for Artists application is now open until March 31, 2020. The grant – also known as the Regional Artist Project Grant – provides up to $1500 to support professional artists in any discipline to pursue projects that further their professional development.
Grants are open to individual artists and unincorporated groups of artists at any stage of their careers. To be eligible to apply, artists must reside in Franklin, Johnston, Vance, Wake or Warren counties in North Carolina. All members of a group must meet eligibility requirements.
Types of fundable projects include:
- Creation of new work
- Purchase of equipment and materials
- Professional development workshops
- Travel expenses associated with a professional opportunity such as participating in an exhibition or a conference
- Development or upgrading of promotional materials such as brochures, DVDs, CDs, and websites
Assistance with grant applications is available. Deadline to submit is March 31, 2020.
