Members of a Johnston County church discovered a theft on Sunday. The incident was reported at Providence Presbyterian Church at 14664 Highway 210, Angier.
Between Wednesday and Sunday, someone went to the church and stole a pig cooker parked under a shelter behind the church. The thief also stole a 40 lb. propane tank.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect cut a master lock attached to the pig cooker.
The cooker was valued at $3,000 and the propane tank $100.
There are no suspects in the case.
